A historic urban park that continues from the Kanei-ji Temple grounds dating back to the Edo period. Within the park, a zoo, museums, and art museums are gathered together, creating a veritable forest of culture. With the large fountain plaza and lotus flowers of Shinobazu Pond, there are plenty of sights to see. A morning stroll through the crisp air sets a wonderful tone for your day. The park offers many shops and benches.
Tips
The park is nearly flat, making it easy to navigate with a baby stroller. Take photos around the fountain plaza before the zoo opens to capture peaceful shots before the crowds arrive.
Best time to visit
Allow 30 to 40 minutes. Mornings around 9 a.m. are less crowded and more comfortable.
