A course for spending a whole day in a town that still carries traces of its castle town past, starring the Takashimizu Castle Outer Moat Park Wall Fountain and Stream in Takashimizu, Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture. The park was created from the former outer moat of the castle, and children can play in the water using the stream, the pond and the water tumbling from the wall fountain. Admission is free, so it works equally well as a quick stop to cool off or as a whole-afternoon destination. The grounds are densely planted so you can enjoy the scenery of all four seasons, and in summer the tree shade doubles as a welcome resting place. The place name Takashimizu is said to come from its fine spring water, and spots connected with water remain all over the town. This is a one-day course featuring the first day of 'Noshiro Yakichitanabata & Noshiro Nebunagashi' held from August 6-7, 2026, centered around the downtown Noshiro area to the mouth of the Yoneshiro River. During the day, stroll through Kaze no Matsubara, one of Japan's three great pine forests, enjoy science experiences at Noshiro Energium Park, and tour the historic wooden architecture at Ryotei Kaneyu. In the evening, have dinner at Hatacho Shopping Street and head to the mouth of the Yoneshiro River from 15:40 when the sun starts to set. As night falls, giant lanterns of Yakichitanabata and the fantastical 'Nebunagashi' with lanterns floating down the river continue past 22:00. It's a day where you can experience the nature and traditional events of the port town of Noshiro all at once.

甲賀市水口スポーツの森の管理棟前にある「甲賀市水口スポーツの森 じゃぶじゃぶ池」を主役にした、近所で1日たっぷり遊ぶコースです。2026年6月6日の公式お知らせ「じゃぶじゃぶ池稼働中です」によると、6月は土日のみ、7月〜8月は毎日、9月は土日祝のみの稼働で、時間は9:30〜18:00です。利用は無料で、小さな子ども向けの浅いじゃぶじゃぶ池なので、水遊びデビューの年ごろにも向いています。会場は陸上競技場・多目的グラウンド・キャンプ場を備えた総合公園の中にあり、水遊びの前後に広い園内を歩くだけでも気持ちのよい場所です。足元にはマリンシューズなど水辺用の履物があると安心で、タオル等は必ず持参してください。濡れた体のままでの管理棟利用はできないため、体をふいてから建物に入る段取りを決めておくとスムーズです。午前は東海道の宿場町として栄えた水口の町を歩き、水口城跡のお堀端と水口神社に立ち寄ります。お昼は園内の芝生でお弁当を広げ、午後はいよいよじゃぶじゃぶ池で水しぶきをあげましょう。18時まで水が出ているので、日差しがやわらぐ夕方までのんびり過ごせます。稼働する曜日が月によって変わるので、出発前に公式のお知らせで当日の稼働を確認してから向かってください。

This is a summer one-day course that stays entirely in town, starring the Park Place Oita Water Play Spot that appears at the open-air mall-style shopping complex in Akeno, Oita City. In 2026 it runs from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and taking part is free. The 1F Center Stage has the Whale Cannon, which shoots water up about 10 meters, and the Water Bridge, while 3F Shangri-La has the Surprise Bucket and the gently falling Sky Shower. Being able to drop by while shopping, with changing, meals and restrooms all handled inside the complex, gives you the kind of peace of mind only a shopping facility can offer. In the morning, head first to the Oita Prefectural Center for Archaeological Heritage (大分県立埋蔵文化財センター), a free facility where items unearthed from sites around the prefecture put you in touch with the ancient past of the ground beneath your feet. Centered on the Tohoku Future Art Fireworks (東北未来芸術花火) held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, this full-day course lets you fully enjoy the seaside and town of Watari, Miyagi Prefecture (宮城県亘理町). This is a summer one-day outing course starring the Nanasegawa Nature Park Seseragi Stream Channel at Nanasegawa Nature Park in the Wasada district of Oita City. A stream channel about 300 meters long flows around a wide lawn plaza of 26,000 square meters. Because the water is shallow, even small children can safely enjoy it together with a guardian. The 2026 water flow is expected to run through the summer season from around July 1, but the official Oita City page does not state the period when water runs through the channel, so please check with Oita City before you set out. Inside the park there is a play area with a combination structure offering various slides and a zip line, along with equipment for younger children. Crossing Ayatori Bridge or taking a break at the rest facility Nanase House gives you plenty to enjoy beyond water play. In the morning, walk the quiet forest approach at Sasamuta Shrine (西寒多神社), known as the head shrine of Bungo Province, then keep lunch light at a large shopping complex in Wasada. In the afternoon it is finally time for the stream channel, where you can play on the water and the lawn until evening. No fee is listed, so it is easy to drop by, which families will appreciate.

A one-day course that fully enjoys Onjuku (御宿), a seaside town of Boso (房総), starring Onjuku Beach (御宿海水浴場), open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, 2026. In the morning, take commemorative photos with the camel statues at Tsuki no Sabaku Memorial Park (月の沙漠記念公園) standing right beside the beach, look out over the Boso coastline from Taitozaki Lighthouse (太東埼灯台), then enjoy a lunch of freshly caught seafood at Ohara Fishing Port (大原漁港). The climax is Onjuku Beach in the afternoon. The white sand where the three beaches of Chuo, Hama and Iwawada (中央・浜・岩和田) draw an arc is gently shelving with calm waves, so even families with small children can relax. Swimming hours are from 8:30 to 17:00. There is paid parking around the beach, making it an easy beach to visit by car. Why not take a swimsuit and towel and head out to Onjuku in summer?

例年7月上旬から9月上旬まで、10:00から17:00(最終入場16:00・最終退場16:30)で開かれる長野県飯田市の「アクアパークIIDA (飯田運動公園プール)」を主役にした1日コースです。飯田・下伊那地域最大の屋外プールで、4種類のスライダー、公認50mプール、25mプール、ファミリープール、流水プールがそろいます。この規模の施設が地方都市にあるのは貴重で、丸一日遊べる内容です。料金は高校生以上の一般800円、幼稚園3年生から小学生が400円、幼稚園生以下300円。障害者手帳をお持ちの方は400円で付き添いは無料です。午前は飯田市動物園へ。入園無料の市営動物園で、こぢんまりとしながらペンギンやシカ、サルなどが暮らしています。続いて元善光寺へ。長野の善光寺の本尊が最初に安置されたと伝わる寺で、静かな境内が広がります。動物と寺と本格プール、飯田の一日です。

静岡県伊豆市湯ヶ島の「天城 水恋鳥広場 川遊び」を主役にした1日コースです。開催は2026年7月18日(土)から8月30日(日)まで、時間は10:00から15:00(変更になる場合あり)。伊豆市観光協会天城支部が夏季だけ開設する、整備された河原の川遊び場です。中流には深く藍色に澄んだ淵があり、下流にはさらさらと流れる浅瀬が続き、支流は水量が少なく浅いので、年齢や泳ぎの得意不得意に合わせて遊ぶ場所を選べます。売店では川遊びの安全グッズを扱っており、浮き輪やベストの貸出もあるので、道具を持たずに訪れても安心。仮設トイレが設置され、駐車場も用意されています。アマゴのつかみ取りやバーベキュー(予約制)といった夏らしい楽しみも用意されています。午前は日本の滝百選の浄蓮の滝と道の駅 天城越えをめぐり、開場の10時に合わせて動く組み立て。伊豆の山あいで水と緑を満喫する、夏だけの特別な一日です。

有田川町のふれあいの丘スポーツパークにある「長谷川プール (ふれあいの丘スポーツパーク)」を主役にした1日コースです。営業期間は未発表ですが、例年は夏休み期間に開かれています。午前はかつて有田鉄道が走っていた金屋口の跡地に整備された有田川鉄道公園へ。実際に動く車両や、レールの上を走る乗り物があり、電車好きの子どもには忘れられない時間になります。その後は明恵峡温泉へ立ち寄り、有田川の渓谷を望むロケーションで早めの昼食と休憩を。午後は山あいのふれあいの丘スポーツパークへ移動し、長谷川プールでゆったり水遊びを楽しみます。利用料は1人につき530円で、使用料の免除申請制度も用意されています。みかんの段々畑が広がる有田川の谷あいを移動しながら、鉄道と渓谷と水遊びをつなぐ、和歌山の山里らしい夏の1日です。

京都府宮津市にある「西宮津公園プール」を主役にした、天橋立とあわせて楽しむ1日コースです。2026年の営業期間は未発表ですが、例年は夏休みの時期に開放されます。プールは水深1.0mの児童用プール(160平方メートル)と、水深0.4mの幼児用プール(140平方メートル)の2つ。幼児用プールにはスライダー・噴水・水鉄砲がついていて、まだ深いところが不安な小さな子でも夢中になれます。午前はまず天橋立ビューランドへ上がり、松並木が海を横切る「飛龍観」の絶景を家族で眺めましょう。続いて知恵の文殊で親しまれる智恩寺にお参りし、山門前の門前通りをのんびり散策。お昼を回ったら西宮津公園プールへ移動し、浅いプールで思いきり水を跳ね上げて遊びます。日本三景を眺めた後にたっぷり水遊びという、宮津ならではの夏の1日です。

北秋田市上杉の秋田県立北欧の杜公園にある「秋田県立北欧の杜公園 わんぱく広場の噴水」を主役にした、近所で1日たっぷり遊ぶコースです。2024年にわんぱく広場に完成した新しい噴水で、公園の公式サイトには「土、日、祝日、夏休みに稼働予定」と記載されています。2026年の具体的な期間は発表前で、天候などにより中止になる場合もあるため、出かける前の確認が欠かせません。入園も駐車場も無料です。公園には大芝生広場やイベント広場、わんぱく広場の遊具、水鳥の池、パークゴルフ場、オートキャンプ場がそろい、北欧の風景を思わせる広々とした景色の中で一日を過ごせます。開園は通年で、12月29日から1月3日のみ休園です。午前は世界遺産「北海道・北東北の縄文遺跡群」の構成資産である伊勢堂岱遺跡と、隣接する伊勢堂岱縄文館へ。4つの環状列石が残る祈りの場を歩いてから、午後は噴水での水遊びで締めくくります。

2026年7月25日(土)から8月26日(水)まで開設される、富山市猪谷プールを主役にした1日コースです。開設時間は10:00から12:00と13:00から16:00の二部制で、うれしいことに利用は無料。25mプール(水深1.2m・5コース)と45.71平方メートルの幼児プールがそろい、しっかり泳ぎたい子も水遊びデビューの子も一緒に楽しめます。会場のある猪谷は、神通川が刻んだ深い谷あいの集落で、市街地より空気がひんやりしているのが何よりの魅力です。午前はまず富山市猪谷関所館へ。加賀藩が設けた飛越国境の関所の歴史を、復元展示と資料でたどります。続いて道の駅細入に立ち寄り、地元の特産品を眺めながら早めの昼食を済ませましょう。プールは12:00から13:00が休憩時間なので、その間をここで過ごすと待ち時間が無駄になりません。13:00から富山市猪谷プールへ入り、午後いっぱい水の中で過ごします。神通峡の谷あいで涼をとる、静かで気持ちのよい1日です。

After a light dinner on Reitoro-dori street, at 4:30 PM, the magical summer evening unique to Yanai begins, with countless goldfish lanterns illuminating the town.

A one-day course built around the Yanai Goldfish Lantern Festival (柳井金魚ちょうちん祭り) held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, making the most of Yanai City (柳井市), Yamaguchi Prefecture, from midday onward. Yanai, where white-walled streets have remained since the Edo period, is an atmospheric port town also known as the birthplace of the goldfish lantern. In the daytime you stroll slowly through the White Wall Townscape (白壁の町並み), designated a National Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and connect with local culture and history. 2026年7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで営業する、八戸市の長根公園にある「八戸市民プール（長根プール）」を主役にした1日コースです(火曜休。祝日の場合は翌日)。開場は10:00から18:30までで、8月17日から31日までは10:00から18:00まで。7月18日の初日は無料営業です。設備は本格的で、幅25m・水深1.3〜1.5m・12コースという日本水泳連盟公認の50mプール、40m×25mで水深45〜55cmと75〜85cmの2段構えになった子供プール、213平方メートル・水深35cmの幼児プール、そしてすべり台がそろっています。料金は一般・大学生340円、高校生220円、中学生110円、小学生以下50円。午前はまず是川縄文館へ。国宝の合掌土偶をはじめ、是川遺跡から出土した縄文の造形を間近で見られます。続いて八食センターで新鮮な海の幸の昼食を。午後は八戸市民プール（長根プール）で夕方まで水遊びを楽しみましょう。

2026年7月11日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、9:00から17:00まで期間中無休で営業する県立保土ケ谷公園プールを主役にした、神奈川県横浜市保土ケ谷区の1日コースです(入場は16:00まで)。噴水プール、遊具プール、幼児プール、スライダープール、25mプールの5種類がそろい、小さな子から小学生まで年齢に合わせて遊べます。料金は大人(中学生以上)310円、小人(小学生以下)110円という手ごろさ。午前はまず旭区のこども自然公園へ。大池を中心に広がる大きな公園で、木立の中を歩いて夏の朝を過ごします。続いて旧東海道の保土ケ谷宿を歩き、本陣跡や一里塚の跡をたどって宿場町の名残にふれましょう。お昼のあとはプールへ。自然と歴史、そして5種類のプール。横浜の中でも落ち着いたエリアで過ごす夏の1日です。
