Bathe in negative ions and coolness at Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls
About this spot
A celebrated waterfall selected for Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls and representative of Fukui. It's beautiful to see the water cascade down the rocky face in a fan-shaped spread, and the delicate waterlike curtain of flowing water is impressive when seen up close. You can walk all the way to near the falls' pool, allowing you to feel the coolness of the spray on your entire body. It's the perfect finale to cool down your body after being warmed up by forest activities, offering a spectacular view.
Tips
The path to the falls is a narrow mountain road, so drive cautiously and watch for oncoming traffic. Parking spaces are limited, so be considerate of others. The rocks around the waterfall are wet and slippery, so hold your child's hand and approach wearing non-slip shoes.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour. After rain or in the afternoon, the balance between water volume and light is ideal.
