Cool off at the moss-covered green valley and pristine spring water of Uriwari Falls as a perfect conclusion to your drive

About this spot

A Top 100 Waters selection and pristine stream spot, named after the saying that the spring water is "so cold it could split a melon." A few minutes' walk from the parking area along a forest path leads you to a mystical scene of crystal-clear water cascading between moss-covered rocks. The surrounding air remains cool even in summer, enveloped by a sense of tranquility; the dappled sunlight and the sound of water offer a healing experience perfect for concluding your drive. Many visitors collect the spring water to take home, and this has been a beloved water source cherished by locals for generations.

Tips

About 20 minutes by car from the Jomon Romance Park. The path to the falls is a gentle walking trail, but rocks near the water are slippery, so wear comfortable walking shoes. If you wish to collect spring water to take home, bring an empty plastic bottle and follow the guidance at the water collection area (cooperation fees, etc.).

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour. Early evening offers a refreshing atmosphere for a pleasant walk.
