A large-scale ferris wheel standing 112.5 meters tall with a diameter of 100 meters, it became a major attraction when it opened as one of the world's largest at the time and is now a symbol of the Bay Area. The approximately 15-minute aerial journey offers a sweeping 360-degree panorama of Osaka Port and passing vessels below, and on clear days, views extending to the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Kansai International Airport, and the Ikoma mountain range. Several cabins feature transparent flooring all the way to the bottom, which are especially popular with thrill-seeking children. At night, the entire ferris wheel is illuminated and displays tomorrow's weather forecast through colored lights in a unique presentation. The boarding location is directly connected to the Tenpōzan Marketplace, making it convenient to board right after lunch or shopping.
Tips
About a 5-minute walk from Ōsakakō Station, with the boarding location directly connected to the Tenpōzan Marketplace. Admission is ¥900 per person for ages 3 and above. The fully transparent glass-bottom cabins have limited availability and longer waits, so the standard cabin is recommended if time is tight. The facility may close due to strong winds or adverse weather, so checking operational status on windy days provides peace of mind.
Best time to visit
Plan for approximately 45 minutes. The bright afternoon hours offer far-reaching views of the distant mountain ranges.
