About this spot
A shrine located on Saishouyama near Tamarisuka Station, in the area where Sanada Yukimura is said to have built the outer fortress "Sanada-maru" during the Winter Campaign of Osaka. The main attraction is the "Sanada's Secret Tunnel" that remains beside the main shrine hall. This stone-lined horizontal tunnel is said to have connected to Osaka Castle, and beside it stands a powerful bronze statue of Yukimura holding his baton. Even those who aren't history enthusiasts will be tempted to take a photo. Amulets emblazoned with the Sanada clan's six-coin family crest are known for bringing victory and success, making them perfect souvenirs for friends facing challenges or competitions. This detour into Sengoku-era romance offers a wonderful depth that contrasts sharply with the food-stall experience of Korea Town.
Tips
About 5 minutes on foot from Tamarisuka Station on the JR Loop Line or Subway Nagahori-Tsurumi-Ryokuchi Line. From Korea Town, it takes 20–30 minutes on foot, so consider taking a bus or taxi on hot or tiring days. Admission is free, and the secret tunnel can be viewed through a fence. Six-coin amulets are popular souvenirs for Sanada fans.

Approximately 40 minutes. Visit and view the tunnel while it's still light in the afternoon.
