About this spot
A spacious park in Tennoji Ward just next to Sanko Shrine, featuring a baseball field and tennis courts, as well as the Sanada-yama Pool, which serves as a summer swimming pool and winter outdoor ice skating rink for local residents. The park is scattered with green walking paths and benches, and is also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot in spring. To cap off a day spent walking and exploring history, sit on a shaded bench and spread out your Korean snack souvenirs, and you'll find yourself in leisurely conversation savoring the aftertaste of your trip. The park sits on high ground where breezes pass through, making an evening walk pleasant, and by spending time leisurely gazing at the fading sky, your day-long Tsuruhashi walk will come to a gentle close.
Tips
Just a short walk from Sanko Shrine, and about 5 minutes on foot from both JR and Subway Tamarisuka Stations. The park grounds are flat with well-maintained walking paths and plenty of benches, making it the perfect place for a final rest stop. While there are vending machines, shops are limited, so it's reassuring to stock up on drinks and snacks at Korea Town beforehand.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour. Close out your day with a leisurely evening walk in the cool late-afternoon hours.
