A red-lacquered bridge spanning the Arimagawa River valley, named after Nene, the principal wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and serving as the gateway to Arima Hot Spring. A Nene statue stands at the foot of the bridge, positioned to face the Taikō Hideyoshi statue in the Yugekemu Plaza across the river—a refined arrangement. The red bridge, the hot spring town along the riverside, and the mountains in the background are known to fit perfectly into a single photograph, making it an ideal spot for a commemorative photo marking the start of your journey. Being just a short walk from Kōbe Dentetsu Arimaonsen Station, you can stop by immediately upon arriving by train. In spring, cherry blossoms along the river; in autumn, crimson foliage—the changing scenery with the seasons frames a warm three-generation family photo.

Tips

Approximately 1-minute walk from Kōbe Dentetsu Arimaonsen Station (神戸電鉄有馬温泉駅). For those arriving by car, park at one of the paid parking lots near the entrance to the hot spring town and explore on foot. The area around the bridge can be crowded with tourists during the day, so early morning—around 9 a.m.—is ideal for photographing. The base of the bridge is near the road, so hold hands with small grandchildren when crossing.
