The aerial journey spans 2,161 meters with a 780-meter elevation gain, unveiling sweeping views of the Yunoyama Hot Spring Town, the Ise Plain, and even the Ise Bay in the distance. The iconic white Tower No. 6, soaring 61 meters high along the route and said to be Japan's tallest, creates a thrilling sensation as the gondola crests it—a delight for children like an amusement park ride. Spring's fresh greenery, early summer azaleas, autumn foliage, and winter ice-coated trees transform the window scenery with each season. Since passengers simply sit and ride to the mountaintop, it's perfect for three-generation trips with grandparents. Tips
From Kintetsu Yunoyama Onsen Station, take Mie Koutsu Bus for about 10 minutes to the "Yunoyama Onsen / Gozaisho Ropeway" stop. The first morning departure is recommended as lines form during autumn foliage season and holidays. The mountaintop is about 10 degrees cooler than the base, so bring a light jacket. Parking is paid (approximately 1,000 yen per visit); during crowded times, folding strollers makes boarding smoother.
