Tips
About 40 minutes by local train from Miyako Station. As an unmanned station, passengers settle fares onboard (simply present your one-day pass if you have one). Kitayamazaki is roughly 8 kilometers away, making walking impractical; use the village's community taxi, a rental car, or a pre-booked taxi. Note the departure time of your return train beforehand for peace of mind.
Best time to visit
