A roadside station at the gateway to Kamiyama town, located up National Route 438 along the Ayubaigawa River from Tokushima city. Kamiyama town is known as one of Japan's leading sudachi citrus producers, and the shop is lined with fragrant sudachi fruits, freshly picked vegetables, plum products, and processed items made with sudachi. Local home-made side dishes and sweets are also popular, perfect for gathering snacks for your drive. It's fun to visit at the start of your trip to check out the selection, then plan to buy more on the return trip—a unique pleasure of visiting a roadside station.
Tips
Located along National Route 438 with free parking. Popular fresh-picked vegetables often sell out by mid-morning, so an early visit is recommended. Sudachi processed products keep well, so buying them early is reassuring.
