A hands-on experience classroom for making Sanuki udon located along the approach to Kotohiragu Shrine. In addition to the authentic process of stretching dough in a circular shape with a rolling pin and cutting it with a knife, the signature experience is stomping the dough with your feet in a dance-like motion synchronized to music. Swept up by the instructor's lighthearted chants, the entire classroom fills with laughter. Graduates receive a diploma with a secret family recipe and a souvenir rolling pin; there's also a popular plan where you can boil and taste your freshly made udon on the spot. By experiencing Sanuki's food culture firsthand at the start of your journey, the conversation will flow naturally during the stone-step climb that follows.
