A Sky-High Experience on the Sky Swing Where You Can Swing Out Above the Clouds
About this spot
A park spreading across a ridge at approximately 920 meters above sea level, just beyond the Unhenji Ropeway summit station. The park's main attraction is the "Sky Swing" positioned on the edge of a hilltop overlooking the Sanuki Plain and Seto Inland Sea. With each swing, you experience the exhilarating sensation of flying out into a sky and sea that fill your entire field of vision, offering "another riding experience" following the ropeway that captivates both adults and children. A "Sky Photo Frame" opened toward the sky, observation decks, and a grassy plaza for leisurely relaxation provide endless opportunities for commemorative photography against spectacular backdrops. On clear days, you can see as far as the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and the mountain ranges of the main island of Honshu—truly a playground in the sky.
Tips
The Sky Swing is popular and can develop waits; be considerate and take turns enjoying it. The ridge-top location is often windy, so be careful that your hat does not blow away. The limited selection at the summit shop means it's wise to bring drinks purchased at the base.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours required. During daylight hours, the Sanuki Plain and Seto Inland Sea framed by the swing are at their most vivid.
