About this spot
Japan's first and only public bonsai art museum, located at the gateway to Omiya Bonsai Village. The garden features prized bonsai specimens believed to be centuries old, and within each small pot unfolds a vast natural world like a "miniature forest." Finding your favorite specimen with children is an enjoyable experience.
Tips
Note that the museum is closed Thursdays. Photography is permitted in some outdoor garden areas, allowing for commemorative photos with favorite specimens. Strollers are welcome inside.
Best time to visit
Allow 30–45 minutes. Mornings are relatively uncrowded.
