About this spot
Hita City's representative historic townscape designated as a National Preservation District for Important Traditional Buildings, the area thrived as a shogun's domain during the Edo period. Merchants' houses with white walls and latticed windows line the streets, and traditional shops selling Hita wooden clogs, Hita pears, Hita okonomiyaki and other local specialties are scattered throughout. Simply walking slowly through the stone-paved alleyways conveys the atmosphere of Edo-era commerce. As we build anticipation for tonight's fireworks, selecting souvenirs early will allow us to move freely until evening. Enjoying street food and taking a break at a traditional sweets shop is also part of the fun.

2026年9月26日(土)開催、標高約800mのオートポリスを舞台にした花火大会です。約10,000発の花火が山上の広い夜空に次々と打ち上げられ、周囲の山々に音が反響する迫力は平地の花火大会とはまったく異なります。遮るものの少ない高原の空は大きく開けており、花火の全体像をダイナミックに楽しめます。澄んだ秋の空気の中で見上げる大輪の花火は色彩も鮮やかで、山の稜線とのコントラストが美しい景観を作り出します。フィナーレの連発が山全体を包む瞬間は、この場所でしか味わえない特別な体験です。

About 10 minutes by car from the Hita Interchange. The townscape is a compact area that can be explored on foot. Use public or private parking lots around Mameda Town. Popular restaurants get crowded during lunch hours, so it's recommended to arrive early or opt for light refreshments to save your appetite for an early evening meal.
