A central commercial facility in Minamisanriku Town that opened in 2013 as a symbol of recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. About 30 shops including fish vendors, restaurants, and souvenir stores gather here, where you can casually enjoy Sanriku's bounty—octopus, Konkana mackerel, and scallops—landed at Shizugawa Bay. Many shops involve local fishermen and producers, so your meal directly supports Minamisanriku's recovery. By having lunch here on the fireworks festival day, you can avoid the evening rush and move about comfortably. Shopping for souvenirs during this time also makes baggage organization easier.

About 5 minutes on foot from JR Kesennuma Line BRT Shizugawa Station. Restaurants may have queues at lunch time, so arriving early is recommended. A cooler bag is handy for fresh seafood and processed souvenirs. The shopping street will be busy in the evening on festival day, so the daytime is relatively quiet for shopping.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. Late morning through early afternoon, fresh dishes are available at each restaurant during the busiest period.
