About this spot

A comprehensive municipal park representing Gifu City that spreads across the southern foot of Mount Kinkazan. With spacious grass areas, fountains, and play equipment, there is plenty of room for children to run around. Historical exhibits related to Saito Dosan, who built Gifu Castle, and Oda Nobunaga are scattered throughout the park, and simply strolling through it will enhance your sense of Gifu's history. The ropeway station for Mount Kinkazan is also located within this park, so it's a smooth route to take a light rest here first before heading to the summit. During the hot midday sun, the shaded benches are cool, and you can use vending machines in the park to hydrate.

2026年8月8日(土)19時30分から約1時間10分にわたって開催される、ぎふ長良川花火大会です。長良橋下流から金華橋上流にかけての長良川河畔が会場となり、約10,000発の花火が次々と夜空へ打ち上がります。金華山と岐阜城のシルエットを背景に川面へ映る光の帯は、この会場ならではの美しさです。スターマインや尺玉など多彩なプログラムが川沿いの空を埋め尽くし、音と光の迫力は体の芯まで響きます。長良川の清流とともに育んできた岐阜の夏祭りの伝統を、家族そろって体感してください。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否や交通規制の詳細は大会公式の発表で必ず事前確認を。終了後は周辺道路と公共交通が大混雑するため、花火終了後はその場でしばらく余韻を楽しみ、人の流れが落ち着いてからの移動がおすすめです。帰りのバス・鉄道の時刻は事前に調べ、時間に余裕を持った行動計画を立てておきましょう。

Tips

Take a bus from Meitetsu Gifu Station or JR Gifu Station (heading toward Nagara Bridge) and get off immediately at the "Gifu Park / History Museum" bus stop. Admission to the park is free. The ropeway station is at the mountain base station at the back of the park. During the hot summer midday, the direct sunlight is strong, so prepare a hat and sunscreen.
