A municipal museum built inside Peace Memorial Park, opened in 1955. Materials and testimonies conveying the reality of the atomic bombing are carefully displayed, creating a place where both children and adults can engage deeply. After entering, proceed through the East Wing and Main Building in order to understand the flow of Hiroshima's history clearly; allow about 1.5 hours. Upon leaving the museum, walk to the Atomic Bomb Dome and gaze at the World Heritage building up close while taking a short rest on a bench in Peace Memorial Park. By touching on the history and present-day reality of Hiroshima's city before the fireworks festival, you'll add depth to your entire day.

広島港1万トンバース沖から打ち上がる約10,000発の大花火が、瀬戸内の夜空を1時間にわたって染め上げます。音楽と花火が連動する「花火ミュージアム」スタイルの演出が大会の大きな特徴で、曲のリズムに合わせて花火の色・形・リズムが変わっていく構成は、見ているだけでなく音でも楽しめる体験型の花火大会です。海面に映り込む光の帯と潮の香り、瀬戸内の夜風の中で打ち上がる約10,000発のスケール感は、港の街・広島ならではのクライマックスです。

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式発表で確認してください。観覧エリアへの入場に関する案内や交通規制情報は、広島市および大会公式サイトで事前に確認を。終了後は周辺道路と路面電車が大変混雑するため、フィナーレ後しばらく港で余韻を楽しんでから帰宅する時間差帰宅がおすすめです。広島電鉄「広島港」電停からのアクセスが基本となります。

Tips

About 3 minutes walk from Hiroshima Electric Railway (広島電鉄) "Genbaku Dome-mae" (原爆ドーム前) station, or about 7 minutes walk from "Chuden-mae" (中電前) station. Admission: Adults 200 yen, high school students 100 yen, middle school students and below free. Since summer weekends can be crowded, the mid-morning hours right after opening or mid-afternoon when it's quieter is more comfortable. The museum has air conditioning, making it ideal for viewing during hot afternoons. Audio guide rental is also available.
