Honcho Shopping Street, stretching from in front of Ichinomiya Station toward Masumida Shrine, is the central shopping street of Ichinomiya City, which once flourished with textile industry. The arcade-covered street features long-established candy shops and stores selling local daily goods, preserving an unspoiled, local everyday atmosphere. On the day of the fireworks festival, traffic restrictions may be imposed on surrounding roads from evening onward, so it's recommended to walk through the street in the daytime to find local gourmet foods, local sake, Owari confections, and other souvenirs for the evening ahead. Ichinomiya is also known as a town of kissaten (coffee shops) with morning coffee culture, and several established coffee shops are scattered around the shopping street.

On the day of the fireworks festival, parking lots in the surrounding area often fill up from evening onward; if your baggage increases, use the coin lockers at the station. The arcade provides cooling relief during hot hours, offering protection against heat stroke.
