A nationally designated Special Scenic Spot located in the center of Kanazawa, Kenroku-en is counted as one of Japan's Three Great Gardens alongside Mito's Kairaku-en and Okayama's Kou-raku-en. This expansive garden, covering approximately 110,000 square meters and carefully developed by the Kaga clan over many years, features numerous highlights including Kasumi Pond, Promenade Stream, and Karasaki Pine. In summer, the greenery is lush and the shade of the trees provides pleasant coolness. The entire loop takes about an hour and a half to complete, making it the perfect spot for daytime sightseeing before tonight's fireworks festival. The Kotoji Lantern (ことじとうろう) is an iconic Kanazawa landmark and a classic photo spot.

2026年7月25日(土)19時50分から20時50分に開催される北國花火金沢大会（復興支援大会in金沢）の観覧会場です。犀川緑地・石川県営まめだ簡易グラウンド周辺から、約12,000発の花火が夜空に打ち上がります。能登半島地震からの復興を願い、支援への感謝を込めて開催される大会で、会場には特別な思いを持って訪れる人々が集まります。犀川の川面に映る光の帯と頭上に開く大輪の花火が重なる景色は、金沢の夏の夜ならではの絶景です。フィナーレの連続打ちが川と空を一体に照らす瞬間は、この1日のクライマックスです。

Tips

花火大会当日は会場周辺に交通規制や入場規制が設けられる場合があります。大会公式情報および北國新聞の発表を事前に確認しておきましょう。終了後は周辺道路と金沢駅方面のバスが大変混雑します。フィナーレ後は少し時間をおいてから移動する時間差帰宅がおすすめ。足元が暗くなるので携帯ライトがあると安心です。

Tips

About 15 minutes by local bus from Kanazawa Station East Exit, getting off at Kenroku-en-shita bus stop. Admission is 320 yen for adults. In the height of summer, bring a hat and water as the sun is intense. The garden is spacious, so there's no need to rush—walking just the main routes is enjoyable enough. You can also purchase soft ice cream and Kanazawa souvenirs at a shop near the exit.
