About 10 minutes walk from Toba Station, this large-scale aquarium is renowned for having one of Japan's largest collections of species. From popular marine mammals like sea otters, dugongs, and sea lions to creatures native to Ise-Shima waters, the facility displays a wide variety of animals across 12 themed zones. As an indoor facility, it offers a comfortable escape from summer heat, allowing you to cool off while building anticipation for the beach. 鳥羽市街から車で約10分、鳥羽湾の一角に広がる遠浅で波の穏やかな海水浴場です。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月23日(日)まで開設され、遊泳料は無料。トイレやシャワーも無料で利用でき、屋外の冷水シャワーが4基、女子更衣室内にも2基設けられているので、水遊びのあとの身支度がしやすいのが魅力です。駐車場は約30台分あり、車での来訪にも対応しています。波が穏やかで足がつく範囲が広いため、小さな子どもの水遊びにも向いた海水浴場です。
Tips
駐車場は約30台分とやや限られるため、夏休みの週末は早めの到着がおすすめです。シャワーは冷水のみなので、暑い日にはむしろ心地よく使えます。日陰が少ないビーチなので、パラソルやテントを持参すると長時間快適に過ごせます。
Tips
About 10 minutes walk from Toba Station; visiting it together with the adjacent Mikimoto Pearl Island is recommended. During summer vacation, mornings tend to be less crowded. The facility is large, so deciding in advance which exhibits you want to see carefully will help with time management.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. The 10 AM hour shortly after opening is less crowded and allows for leisurely viewing.
