Located just beside Futami-ura Beach, this shrine is renowned nationwide for the "Meoto Iwa" (Married Rocks)—two large and small rocks floating offshore, bound together by a sacred rope. The Meoto Iwa symbolizes love and marital harmony and is also popular as a stunning scenic spot offering views of the sunrise and Mt. Fuji. The grounds are lined with countless frog figurines, which capture children's interest along the pilgrimage path. Stopping by before entering the water is a local tradition—it allows you to pray for safe travels for the entire day before heading to the beach.

伊勢市二見町にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月25日(土)から8月16日(日)まで、9時から17時の時間で開設されます。夫婦岩にほど近い遠浅の砂浜は、家族連れでも安心して波遊びを楽しめる環境です。冷水シャワーとトイレ(多目的トイレあり)、男女別の更衣室が整い、駐車場は約150台を無料で利用できます。遊泳は無料。おかげ横丁での食べ歩きのあとは、いよいよこの砂浜がクライマックスです。波打ち際の水遊びから砂のお城づくりまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫しましょう。
Tips
駐車場が無料で約150台と広く、車での訪問がしやすいのが魅力です。更衣室・冷水シャワーは完備ですが石けん等は持参を。営業終了は17時のため、着替えの時間を見込んで16時45分ごろには切り上げるのがおすすめです。
Tips
Within walking distance of Futami-ura Beach. In summer, bring a hat and drinks due to strong sun. The view from the shoreline in front of Iwato-kan (岩戸館) offers the best views of the Meoto Iwa.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes required. Early morning hours offer quieter pathways, making it easier to walk.
