Drive to the Inner Shrine and Pay Respects at the Sacred Grounds Along the Isuzu River
About this spot
Located about 20-25 minutes by car from Futami-ura, this is one of Japan's most formally revered shrines. Upon crossing Uji Bridge into the sacred grounds, you'll encounter the pristine Isuzu River and towering groves of cedar trees that transport you away from the summer heat of the city. At the Isuzu River Ablution Basin (五十鈴川御手洗場), you can even touch the river's water—an experience children will treasure. Walking along the solemn pilgrimage path before swimming adds a special rhythm to your day.

伊勢市二見町にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月25日(土)から8月16日(日)まで、9時から17時の時間で開設されます。夫婦岩にほど近い遠浅の砂浜は、家族連れでも安心して波遊びを楽しめる環境です。冷水シャワーとトイレ(多目的トイレあり)、男女別の更衣室が整い、駐車場は約150台を無料で利用できます。遊泳は無料。おかげ横丁での食べ歩きのあとは、いよいよこの砂浜がクライマックスです。波打ち際の水遊びから砂のお城づくりまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫しましょう。
Tips
駐車場が無料で約150台と広く、車での訪問がしやすいのが魅力です。更衣室・冷水シャワーは完備ですが石けん等は持参を。営業終了は17時のため、着替えの時間を見込んで16時45分ごろには切り上げるのがおすすめです。
Tips
The parking lot in front of Naiku's Uji Bridge becomes crowded during peak seasons, so consider parking at a nearby lot and walking or using the shuttle bus. The grounds feature many paths covered with small gravel, so baby carriers may be more practical than strollers.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. The late morning time slot offers relatively easier access for worship.
