Kiln-Maker Street Walk in the Official Kiln Village of the Nabeshima Clan

A historic pottery village where the Nabeshima Clan's official kilns were located during the Edo period, producing gifts for the shogun and gifts for daimyo lords. About 30 kilns line the steep mountain valley, and you can enjoy the unique townscape simply by walking along the narrow slopes and alleys. Each kiln has its own direct sales shop, allowing you to view Imari Nabeshima pottery and pick up pieces you like. At midday, you can enjoy lunch unique to Imari at eateries along the kiln-maker street and fuel up for the afternoon beach swimming.

伊万里湾に面した人工海浜公園で、2026年は7月5日(日)から8月23日(日)まで、9時から17時の時間で開設されます。伊万里市が整備した海水浴場で、シャワーや休憩室、コインロッカーといった設備が整っており、遠方から訪れる家族連れでも荷物や身支度の心配なく過ごせるのが魅力です。シャワーは3分200円、休憩室は約5名まで利用できて1,000円、コインロッカーは100円硬貨を使う返却式で無料に利用できます。波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、伊万里湾ののどかな景色の中で夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫しましょう。

Tips

シャワーと休憩室は有料、コインロッカーは100円硬貨(返却式)で無料に使えます。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダルが必須。開場は17時までなので、着替えとロッカーの返却時間を見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。

Tips

About 15 minutes from Imari Station by bus or taxi. Since there are many slopes, comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Eateries along the kiln-maker street can get crowded at lunch time, so arriving early is reassuring. Since pottery is fragile, if you purchase items, it's best to separate them from beach-going luggage for safe transport.
