A coastline with bizarre rock formations and steep cliffs stretching across the Harish'ira district, which marks the border between Otaru and Sapporo. A historic site that once had a railway station, it is now a well-known viewpoint offering magnificent views of rock formations washed by waves and the grandeur of Ishikari Bay. As you travel toward Zenibako Seaside Beach, you can feel the power of the sea from the car windows and viewing areas. After your stroll, return to Zenibako's town center and enjoy an early lunch at a local eatery before beach swimming.

小樽市銭函にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月4日(土)から8月24日(月)まで開設されます。石狩湾に面した広い砂浜が特徴で、遊泳は無料。水洗・仮設トイレが整っているので、小さな子ども連れでも安心して1日を過ごせます。JR函館本線の銭函駅から近く、小樽・札幌の両方向からアクセスしやすいのも魅力です。波打ち際でのんびり水遊びをしたり、砂浜でお城を作ったり、家族それぞれのペースで夏を満喫できるビーチです。夕方まで思いきり過ごして、石狩湾の1日を締めくくりましょう。
Tips
駐車場は有料なので、事前に小銭を用意しておくと安心です。トイレはありますが売店などは多くないため、飲み物や軽食は事前に用意しておくのがおすすめ。夏の砂浜は熱くなるので、ビーチサンダルがあると歩きやすいです。
Tips
Since it's along the national highway, stopping by car is the primary option. The rocky areas are slippery, so with small children, it's best to simply enjoy the scenery. Complete lunch around noon or earlier to avoid crowds and have ample time for afternoon beach activities.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required (including lunch time). Morning hours with calm waves offer the best views.
