About this spot
Located about 10 minutes by car from Maehara Beach, this is Kamogawa City's representative aquarium. It features full performances by large marine mammals including killer whales, dolphins, and belugas. The early morning hours right after opening allow for relatively calm viewing. Since the facility has separate indoor areas and outdoor viewing stadiums, parts can still be enjoyed even in rainy weather. Deepening your understanding of marine life before entering the sea will make the afternoon swimming experience even more enjoyable.

鴨川市にある前原海水浴場は、2026年は7月19日(日)から8月23日(日)まで、9時から16時まで開設されます。監視所とシャワー、トイレが整備され、砂浜には複数の海の家が営業しているため、ロッカーや更衣室を利用しながら安心して1日を過ごせます。遊泳は無料で、家族みんなで波打ち際の水遊びから砂遊びまでたっぷり楽しめる、鴨川らしい落ち着いた雰囲気のビーチです。午後の時間をゆったりと使って、夏の海を満喫しましょう。
Tips
駐車場は市営芝浜駐車場(1日1,000円)と、無料で利用できる市営駅西口駐車場の2つから選べます。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダルが必携です。営業時間は16時までなので、着替えの時間も見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。
Tips
Arriving right after the 10 AM opening allows you to see popular performances from good vantage points. The facility requires considerable walking, so stroller use is recommended. During summer vacation, the parking lot gets crowded, so arriving early is advisable.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours required. The late morning hours right after opening are relatively uncrowded and easy to navigate.
