A white lighthouse standing at the tip of the Kata Peninsula offering panoramic views of ships traversing the Kii Channel and the silhouette of Tomogashima Island. Located along the coastal path from Awashima Shrine, you can walk right up to the base of the lighthouse. Feeling the sea breeze while gazing out at the ocean builds anticipation for Isomiura Beach ahead. While lacking touristy flair, it's a quiet scenic gem beloved by locals.

和歌山市・加太エリアにある磯の浦海水浴場は、2026年は7月1日(水)から8月31日(月)まで、8時から17時まで開設されます。遊泳は無料で楽しめ、更衣ロッカーやシャワー(有料)、トイレ、売店、カフェも揃っているため、日帰りの海水浴でも困りません。サーフィンでも知られる海域ですが、遠浅で穏やかなエリアもあり、家族連れの海水浴やビーチ遊びにも親しまれています。午後の日差しの中、波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方の営業終了時刻までゆっくり過ごせます。

Tips

駐車場は1日1,000円、シャワーは有料なので小銭を用意しておくと安心です。夏の砂浜は熱くなるのでビーチサンダルが必携。営業終了は17時のため、着替えの時間を見込んで16時45分ごろには切り上げるのがおすすめです。

Tips

From the parking area to the lighthouse is just a few minutes on foot, but some sections of the path are unpaved, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. With little shade available, don't forget a hat and water.
