A park spread across the hilltop of Ushimado, where olive trees planted across the hillside and the scenic beauty of Seto Inland Sea's many islands can be seen in one sweeping view. A white windmill in Greek style serves as its symbol, and a landscape unfolds that is often called "Japan's Aegean Sea," representing the essence of Ushimado. The observation space is open and airy, and the early morning hours with cool air make it easy to walk with children and popular as a photography spot. Before heading to the beach, take a short detour and slowly enjoy the calm scenery of the Seto Inland Sea.

瀬戸内市・牛窓にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月23日(日)まで開設されます。7月10日(金)10時からは海開きの神事も執り行われ、地元でも夏の訪れを告げる場所として親しまれています。瀬戸内海ならではの波の穏やかな海で、遊泳は無料。砂浜沿いには海の家が3店舗並び、シャワーや更衣室、売店を利用できます。監視員は常駐していないため、お子さまの水遊びは保護者の方がそばで見守ってあげてください。波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、瀬戸内の景色に包まれながら夕方までゆっくり過ごしましょう。

Tips

道の駅一本松展望園から車で10分ほど。駐車場は普通車1,000円、大型車3,000円、マイクロバス2,000円です。監視員が常駐していないので、お子さんの様子はこまめに確認しましょう。海の家の休憩やシャワーは有料です。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダルがあると安心です。

Tips

Located about 10 minutes by car from Ushimado city center on a hilltop. The observation space has a gentle uphill slope, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended if bringing a stroller. Strong summer sun, so don't forget a hat and water.
