Located about 5 minutes by car from Zakimi Castle Ruins, this village clusters workshops for Yachimun, Okinawa's traditional pottery. Red-tile-roofed workshops and shared climbing kilns create an atmosphere where you leisurely explore pottery-making. The attached shop displays colorful tableware and shisa (lion dogs) perfect for souvenirs. Tree-shaded paths make it comfortable even in strong sun.

読谷村を代表する海水浴場で、2026年は4月1日(水)から10月31日(土)まで開設。営業時間は9時から18時までです。約2kmにわたって続く白い砂浜と、遠浅で穏やかなエメラルドグリーンの海が魅力で、沖縄本島でも人気の高いビーチのひとつ。更衣室ロッカー(200円)とシャワー(200円)、売店が整っているので、大きな荷物を持たずに気軽に立ち寄れます。波打ち際での水遊びから砂のお城づくりまで、夕方まで思いきり沖縄の海を満喫しましょう。

Tips

残波岬公園から車で3分ほど。ロッカーとシャワーはそれぞれ200円が目安で、小銭を用意しておくとスムーズです。夏の砂浜は日差しが強いので、パラソルや日よけテントがあると快適。営業終了は18時なので、着替えの時間を見込んで余裕を持って切り上げましょう。

Tips
