About this spot
Just a short walk from Nagahama Station, Kurogane Square is an area with charm featuring retro streets with black-plastered buildings remaining from the Meiji era. Centered around Kurogane Glass Museum, which carries glass products, glass craft shops and cafes line the streets. Strolling itself is free to enjoy, making it perfect for time management before heading to the pool. There are also glass craft experience workshops available, and if you have time, it's recommended that families attempt to create original works. The pedestrian-friendly street is also easy to navigate with a stroller.

長浜市民プールは、2026年は7月4日(土)から8月30日(日)まで営業する屋外レジャープールです(7月17日までは7/4・5・11・12のみの開場で、7月18日からは毎日開場)。全長140mの流水プールはぷかぷかと浮き輪で流されるだけでも楽しく、2本のウォータースライダーはスリル満点。小さな子には浅い幼児プールが安心で、25mプール(8コース)もあるのでしっかり泳ぎたい子どもや大人も満足できます。駐車場は230台分と広く、車でのアクセスもしやすい施設です。お昼から夕方までたっぷり水遊びを楽しめる、夏の定番スポットです。
Tips
料金は大人(市内在住)800円・大人(市外)1,000円、中学生以下400円、3歳未満は無料です。営業時間は9:45〜16:00ですが、平日は15:00終了となるため、平日に訪れる場合は早めの入場がおすすめです。日焼け対策と休憩用のタオルは多めに用意しておくと安心です。
Tips
About a 5-minute walk from Nagahama Station. Early morning has fewer visitors and is cooler, making it ideal timing for pre-pool strolling. Glass craft experiences are recommended to be reserved in advance, as they can get crowded on the day.

About 1 hour required. The late morning before strong sun is recommended.
