Enjoy views of Genkai Nada from a historic site connected to the National Treasure Gold Seal

About this spot

This is the representative historic site park of Shika Island, said to be where the national treasure Gold Seal of "Han Wei Nu State" (漢委奴国王) was discovered in the Edo period. From the viewing space on a small hill, you can see the islands floating in Genkai Nada and views of Hakata Bay, and a replica of the gold seal seen in history textbooks is displayed. The grassy park is spacious enough for children to wander freely and serves as a perfect walking spot before swimming.

福岡市東区の志賀島にある勝馬海水浴場は、博多湾側に面した波の穏やかな砂浜で、2026年は7月2日(木)から8月31日(月)まで開設されます。遊泳は無料。夏季はシャワーや更衣室、売店も整うので、手ぶらに近い身軽さで訪れられるのがうれしいポイントです。約300台分の駐車場が用意されているほか、公衆トイレ、ボードウォーク、芝生広場も備わっており、小さな子ども連れでも安心して1日過ごせます。波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫しましょう。

Tips

夏季以外はシャワーや売店が閉まるため、営業期間中の来場がおすすめです。夏の砂浜は熱くなるのでビーチサンダルを。駐車場は約300台と広めですが、お盆前後の週末は早めの到着が安心です。芝生広場は休憩やお昼寝にも使えます。

Tips

The parking lot is small, so during busy seasons you may need to park at a slightly different location. There are stairs and slopes to the observation deck, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
