A symbolic park in the center of Yurihonjo City, developed on the former site of Honjo Castle, which was the stronghold of the Honjo Domain during the Edo period. Parts of the stone walls and moats remain, conveying the atmosphere of the castle town of that era to the present day. The park has many trees, and the charm is that even on summer mornings, relatively comfortable shade continues. There are also open spaces and play equipment, and while children can play, adults can leisurely enjoy historical walks. Warm up your body as preparation before heading to the beach.

由利本荘市の日本海沿いに広がる海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月11日(火・祝)まで開設されます(7/18〜20は先行開設、7/23〜8/11が通常開設)。遊泳時間は9時から16時30分まで、利用は無料です。駐車場は200台分が無料で用意されており、シャワーとトイレも完備されているため、車での家族連れの利用にも心強い設備が整っています。日本海らしい開放的な海と広い砂浜で、波打ち際の水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫できます。

Tips

駐車場は無料で200台分と広く、車での来訪がしやすいのが魅力です。シャワー・トイレは完備されていますが、日除けのテントやパラソルは持参すると安心。遊泳は16時30分までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。

Tips

Located within walking distance of Honjo Station, and parking is also available. Since there are stone steps and slopes, if using a stroller, choose paved paths for easier walking. In summer, don't forget a hat and hydration.
