The Culture and Exchange Hall of Yurihonjo City stands in front of JR Honjo Station. It brings together a library, exhibition hall, tourism information corner, and more, allowing you to confirm highlights and event information of the city all in one place. It's a perfect place to take a break in the air-conditioned interior while checking the route to the roadside station and beach afterward. The hall is barrier-free, and the layout makes it easy to move around with a stroller.

由利本荘市の日本海沿いに広がる海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月11日(火・祝)まで開設されます(7/18〜20は先行開設、7/23〜8/11が通常開設)。遊泳時間は9時から16時30分まで、利用は無料です。駐車場は200台分が無料で用意されており、シャワーとトイレも完備されているため、車での家族連れの利用にも心強い設備が整っています。日本海らしい開放的な海と広い砂浜で、波打ち際の水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫できます。

Tips

駐車場は無料で200台分と広く、車での来訪がしやすいのが魅力です。シャワー・トイレは完備されていますが、日除けのテントやパラソルは持参すると安心。遊泳は16時30分までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。

Just a short walk from Honjo Station. At the tourism information corner in the hall, you can get maps and pamphlets. It's also convenient for restroom breaks and to cool off, so stopping by before heading to the beach is reassuring.
