Located in central Hirosaki, Hirosaki Park is a historical park centered around Hirosaki Castle (弘前城), the former castle of the Tsugaru clan (津軽藩). The tree-lined promenade along the moats and verdant park grounds are pleasant to walk year-round, and a morning stroll before the summer heat takes hold is particularly comfortable. With its castle tower, auxiliary structures, and stone walls, there's plenty to see while learning about local history with children. The expansive grounds are also stroller-friendly, a bonus for families. Before heading to the pool, it's a perfect distance for light exercise.

弘前市城北にある屋外レジャープールで、2026年は7月4日(土)から8月30日(日)まで、9時30分から17時まで営業します。1周138mの流れるプールは浮き輪でぷかぷかと流されるだけで大満足の主役級。小さな子には水深の浅い幼児プールが安心です。長さ25m・高さ7.5mのウォータースライダーは小学生から大人まで人気で、何度も滑りたくなる爽快感があります。児童・生徒110円、高校生220円、一般330円と料金も入場しやすく、家族みんなで気軽に楽しめるのが魅力です。お昼から夕方まで、たっぷり水遊びを満喫できます。
Tips
営業は17時までなので、遊具は時間に余裕を持って早めに切り上げるのが安心です。夏休みの週末は混み合うことがあるため、場所取りは入場後すぐに。日陰が少ないエリアもあるので、日焼け対策は万全にしておきましょう。
Tips
Multiple parking areas are available, but summer holiday weekends can get crowded, so early arrival is recommended. The park has some uneven terrain, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Take breaks to hydrate and maintain a comfortable pace.
