An iconic bridge spanning the Katsura River that has been cherished as a scenic spot since the Heian Period. From the bridge's base, you can take in sweeping views of the Katsura River's flow and Arashiyama's mountain ridge. The area attracts crowds year-round. A short walk leads to the Bamboo Grove Path, where towering bamboo shoots straight up, creating a canopy overhead. Walking through this lush green tunnel in the cool of summer embodies the true Arashiyama experience.

2026年7月22日(水)開催、陸上自衛隊桂駐屯地の夏祭りを締めくくる打ち上げ花火です。19時50分から20時までのわずか10分間に、花火が一気に打ち上がります。短い時間に凝縮されているからこそ、瞬きする間も惜しいほどの密度で夜空を彩ります。地域の夏祭りらしいアットホームな雰囲気の中で見上げる花火は、大きな会場とはまたひと味違う魅力があります。

Tips

荒天時は中止または内容変更の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。花火は短時間で終了するため、開始時刻を逃さないよう時間に余裕を持って待機を。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。

Tips

About 5 minutes walk from Keifuku Arashiyama Station. Rickshaws and chartered boats are available near the bridge. The Bamboo Grove Path is popular, so early morning tends to be less crowded.
