About this spot

Counted as one of Japan's three major singing sand beaches, this is a beautiful sandy beach representative of Kyoto Tango City. The characteristic is that when you walk on the dry sand, it makes a clear squeaking sound. To preserve the beauty of the sand, smoking and fireworks that dirty the sand are prohibited. The white sandy beach and highly transparent Sea of Japan are popular as a summer beach resort. Just spending leisurely time at the shore allows you to experience the open atmosphere typical of the Tango Peninsula.

2026年7月25日(土)開催、丹後町間人の夏を締めくくる間人みなと祭のクライマックスです。20時30分ごろから、約800発の花火が日本海に面した夜空を彩ります。海に近い会場ならではの開放的な視界で、大輪の花火を遮るものなくゆったり楽しめるのが魅力です。琴引浜の海遊びから立岩の絶景まで、丹後半島の自然をたっぷり味わった1日の締めくくりにふさわしい花火です。

Tips

荒天時は中止・順延の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は京丹後市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでから帰路につくのがおすすめです。

Tips

About 20 minutes by car from Tango Kingdom "Shokuno-Miyako". Be careful not to bring food or pets to avoid dirtying the sand. Early arrival is recommended as parking can get crowded in summer.
