A towering columnar rock about 20 meters high standing on the Taji coast. Known as one of the representative scenic spots of the Tango Peninsula, the rugged rock surface and surrounding coastline create an impressive landscape. Close to Nakahama, it's a convenient spot to enjoy the grand nature characteristic of the Tango Peninsula. Popular as a photography spot and perfect for family memorial photos.

2026年7月26日(日)開催、丹後町中浜の夏を締めくくる中浜港祭りのクライマックスです。20時ごろから、日本海に面した夜空に花火が打ち上がります。海に近い会場ならではの開放的な視界で、遮るものなく花火をゆったり楽しめるのが魅力です。琴引浜の海遊びから立岩の絶景まで、丹後半島の自然をたっぷり味わった1日の締めくくりにふさわしい花火です。

荒天時は中止・順延の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は京丹後市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでから帰路につくのがおすすめです。
Tips
About 20 minutes by car from Tango Kingdom 'Shoku no Miyako'. The area around the rock has unstable footing in some places, so hold hands with small children when viewing.
Best time to visit
About 45 minutes required. Afternoon sunlight clearly highlights the rock's contours.
