Otaru's signature tourist attraction, with stone warehouses and gas lamps lining the canal built from the Meiji to Taisho periods. A well-maintained promenade allows you to leisurely walk through the streetscape that retains the atmosphere of that era. Canal cruises are also available, and the views from the water are popular. It's a spot where you can fully immerse yourself in Otaru's history and port-town atmosphere.

2026年7月26日(日)開催、小樽港第3号ふ頭基部を会場に行われる花火大会です。おたる潮まつりのフィナーレを飾る本格的な花火大会として知られ、20時から20時30分までの30分間、小樽港の夜空を大輪の花火が彩ります。運河のガス灯の明かりと花火が重なり合う、港町小樽ならではの情緒ある夜景も見どころです。歴史ある港町の1日を締めくくる、夏の風物詩です。

Tips

荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路とJR小樽駅が大変混雑するため、会場で少し余韻を楽しんでからの時間差帰宅がおすすめです。

Tips

About 10 minutes walk from JR Otaru Station. The stroll is free, but canal cruises charge an admission fee. In summer, the sun is strong, so it's good to bring a hat and sunscreen.
