中越地方の夏を彩る、川口まつり大花火大会です。魚野川と信濃川が合流する開けた河川敷を会場に、約3,000発の花火が夜空に打ち上がります。周囲を山に囲まれた地形のため、花火の音が響き渡る迫力も魅力です。昼間に訪れた河川敷の景色が、夜には花火とともにまったく違う表情を見せてくれます。
Tips
荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は長岡市の公式発表で確認しましょう。終了後は駅や周辺道路が混み合うため、少し時間をずらして帰るのがおすすめです。足元が暗くなるので、小さな子ども連れは懐中電灯があると安心です。
