This facility introduces the traditional giant kite culture that has been passed down since the Edo period in the Yōkaichi area of Higashiōmi City. A life-size replica of the world's largest giant kite is displayed, and its overwhelming size is sure to surprise parents and children. You can also learn about the designs depicted on the giant kites and the history of kite-flying events in the region.

2026年7月25日(土)開催、太郎坊宮の千日大祭にあわせて行われる奉納花火です。勝運の神様として信仰を集めてきた霊山の夜空に、約30分間花火が打ち上がります。巨石が並ぶ境内から見上げる花火は、街なかの花火大会とはひと味違う荘厳な雰囲気。夏の大祭ならではの特別な夜を、家族で味わいましょう。
Tips
荒天時は中止・延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は太郎坊宮の発表で確認を。参道の石段は夜間暗くなるため、帰りの下山は足元に十分注意しましょう。混雑を避けるため、終了後は少し時間を置いてから移動するのもおすすめです。
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from the Tarōbō Shrine venue. The exhibit space indoors is compact, so one hour is enough to browse leisurely. During the summer vacation period, it may get crowded with families.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour required. Early afternoon hours right after opening tend to be relatively quiet
