One of Japan's three greatest waterfalls and a signature landmark of Daigo Town. At approximately 120 meters high and 73 meters wide, the waterfall dramatically drops in four distinct tiers, creating an awe-inspiring sight. You can access the observation platform via tunnel and elevator, making it easy for families to get close to the falls. With the cool mist and refreshing spray, this is one of Okuuji's most stunning scenic spots that lets you escape the summer heat.

2026年7月25日(土)開催、大子町と町付の2会場で同時に打ち上がるだいご美〜2026 花火〜です。19時30分から19時35分までの短い時間、久慈川と押川の合流点の夜空に花火が凝縮して打ち上がります。山々に囲まれた盆地ならではの澄んだ空気の中、清流のせせらぎとともに見上げる花火は、都市部の大会とはまた違った趣があります。

荒天時は中止または内容変更の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。短時間で終了するため、開始10分前には見やすい場所に落ち着いておくのがおすすめです。
Tips
Access to the observation platform requires paid tunnel and elevator use (approximately 320 yen for adults). The area around the falls can be slippery from mist, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Summer offers a rare escape from the heat.
