A small island connected to the mainland, designated as a national natural monument as a breeding ground for black-tailed gulls. From spring to summer, tens of thousands of black-tailed gulls are said to soar and create a dynamic spectacle with their distinctive cries. At the top of the island stands Kabuashima Shrine, and as you climb the approach path, you can observe the black-tailed gulls up close. As a celebrated scenic spot representing Hachinohe, it is the perfect place to create summer memories with your family.

2026年7月25日(土)、階上町の小舟渡海岸を会場に行われるマリンフェスタの花火大会です。地元の名物「いちご煮」を冠したこの祭りの締めくくりとして、太平洋の海上に花火が次々と打ち上がり、19時30分から20時30分まで夜空を彩ります。波の音とともに見上げる花火は、三陸の海ならではの開放感に満ちています。蕪島や種差海岸など三陸の海を一日かけて楽しんだあとに見る花火は、夏の思い出の締めくくりにふさわしい光景です。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は主催者の公式発表で確認しましょう。終了後は駐車場へ向かう人で混み合うため、少し時間をずらしての移動がおすすめです。砂浜は足元が暗いのでスマホのライトで安全に。

Tips

About 25 minutes by car from the Kakami venue. During the black-tailed gull breeding season, watch out for droppings from overhead, so a hat is reassuring. The approach path has stairs, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
