Tips

Tips

About 10 minutes on foot from Izu-kyuko Shimoda Station. Admission is around 500 yen for adults, including a visit to the museum. In summer, there is little shade in the temple grounds, so it is reassuring to have a hat or parasol. Perry Road is just a short walk away.

Best time to visit

Takes about 45 minutes. A visit early in the morning while it's cool is also recommended.
