View the hot spring town and Japan Sea direction from the summit observation platform of Daishi Mountain
About this spot
The cable car rapidly ascends from the Kinosaki Onsen town to the summit of Daishi Mountain. From the summit observation platform, you can see the townscape of the hot spring town with its willow groves and, beyond it, views extending toward the Japan Sea. On clear days, you can also see the flow of the Maruyama River, making it a perfect spot to grasp the full picture of Kinosaki during the day. Looking down at the hot spring town where tonight's fireworks will be launched from this high vantage point makes the evening viewing even more enjoyable.

城崎温泉の夏を締めくくる花火大会です。柳並木の続く大谿川沿いの温泉街を舞台に、夜空へ花火が打ち上がります。5分ほどの短い時間ながら、木造旅館の灯りと提灯、そして花火の光が重なり合う城崎ならではの情緒ある景色が広がります。浴衣姿で外湯めぐりの合間に花火を楽しむ人も多く、温泉街全体が夏祭りのムードに包まれる特別な夜です。
Tips
荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日は豊岡市や温泉街の公式発表を確認しましょう。観覧場所は大谿川沿いの各所に分散するため、早めに川沿いのお気に入りのスポットを確保しておくと安心です。終了後は温泉街が混み合うため、外湯めぐりを続けながらの時間差移動もおすすめです。
Tips
Departing from a station about 10 minutes walk from Kinosaki Onsen Station. Purchasing a round-trip ticket is recommended. On windy days at the summit, it's wise to bring a jacket.
