Enjoy Western-style buildings along the slopes and exotic atmosphere of a port town
About this spot
A foreign concession street with Western-style buildings from the Meiji to Taisho periods still standing on a hill overlooking Kobe Port. Elegant buildings line both sides of the cobblestone slope, and a walk here offers the exotic atmosphere unique to Kobe, a port city. Some buildings are open to the public, and exploring their interiors is another way to enjoy the experience. From the top of the slope, you can also see an overview of Kobe's streetscape and part of the port. On the day of the fireworks festival, congestion is expected from evening onwards, so it's recommended to walk leisurely in the early afternoon.

2026年8月1日(土)19時30分開催、神戸港を舞台にした花火大会です。港のシンボルである赤い塔やホテルの帆型シルエットを背景に、夜空へ次々と花火が打ち上がります。海に面した開放的な会場のため視界を遮るものが少なく、家族連れでも見やすいのが魅力。港の夜景と花火が重なり合う光景は、みなと町・神戸ならではのロマンチックな雰囲気を作り出します。波の音と潮風を感じながら過ごす、夏の一夜のクライマックスです。
Tips
荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の公式発表で確認を。終了直後は三宮・神戸駅方面が大混雑するため、フィナーレ後は少し余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめ。足元が暗い箇所もあるのでスマホのライトで安全に。
Tips
Accessible from JR Shin-Kobe or Sannomiya stations by bus or on foot. Wear comfortable shoes as there are many slopes. Admission fees vary by building, so you can choose to enter only the buildings of interest. To Nankinmachi next, go via Sannomiya.
Best time to visit
Takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Early afternoon hours have fewer tourists and are easier to walk around.
