About this spot
A beautiful vermillion shrine dedicated to the young Emperor Antoku, who perished during the Battle of Dan-no-ura. The shrine's unique architecture, resembling a dragon palace, features the distinctive Suiten Gate overlooking the Kanmon Strait. The grounds also house Yoshiichi Hall, connected to the Tale of the Heike, offering visitors insight into this classical tale of the Heike clan. The shrine's seaside location provides a picturesque backdrop unlike any other.

荒天時は中止・延期となる場合があるため、当日の実施状況は下関市や神社の公式発表で確認しましょう。境内は夕方から混み合うため、早めの場所取りがおすすめです。終了後は周辺道路が混雑するため、時間差での移動が安心です。
