Counted as one of Japan's Three Kumanos alongside the Kumano Sanzan of Kii Province and Kumano Shrine of Tango, this is an ancient shrine representative of Nanyo City. According to legend, three rabbits are hidden in the carvings of the majestic main hall, and it is said that if you find them all, your wishes will come true. The verdant shrine grounds have a quiet and serene atmosphere, and searching for rabbits while visiting with the family will create wonderful summer vacation memories. As you touch the historic shrine buildings and trees on the grounds, start your day in Nanyo at a leisurely pace.

2026年8月1日(土)開催、南陽市の公徳会佐藤病院駐車場を会場に行われる、地域に根ざした夏祭りの花火大会です。約3,000発の花火が20時から20時30分までの30分間、夜空に集中して打ち上がります。短い時間に多くの花火が連続して上がるため、テンポよく次々と大輪が開くスピード感が魅力です。赤湯温泉街からも近く、温泉地の風情と花火が組み合わさった南陽市らしい夏の夜を楽しめます。

Tips

駐車場は台数に限りがあるため、早めの到着がおすすめです。荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は南陽市の公式発表で確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が混み合うため、時間に余裕を持って移動を。

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Akyu Station. The grounds have some unpaved areas, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Try to find the rabbits by carefully examining the shrine building carvings.
