About this spot

A restored thatched-roof village that was once lost to floods, with beautiful countryside scenery spread across the area. About 20 thatched-roof buildings line the streets, with shops offering craft experiences and soba-making, as well as shops selling local specialties. Walking through feels like experiencing an old-fashioned Japanese rural village, perfect for family walks and lunch. The green mountains rising behind are also beautiful and make for great photo spots.

2026年8月2日(日)開催、富士五湖のひとつ西湖を舞台にした花火大会です。湖上から約1,000発の花火が夜空に次々と打ち上がり、周囲を山に囲まれた静かな湖面には「逆さ花火」が美しく映り込みます。19時30分から19時50分までの20分間に凝縮された花火は、テンポよく打ち上がるぶん見応えがあり、静けさの中に響く音と光のコントラストが印象的です。ほかの富士五湖の花火大会に比べて人出が控えめなのも、ゆったり楽しみたい家族連れには嬉しいポイントです。

Tips

荒天時は中止または順延の場合があるため、当日は主催者の発表を確認しましょう。開催時間が短いので、開始10〜15分前には見やすい場所に着いておくのがおすすめです。終了後は帰り道が暗いので懐中電灯を用意しておくと安全です。

Tips

About 20 minutes by car from the Kawaguchiko interchange, about 10 minutes by car from Lake Saiko. Free parking available. Pre-booking for craft experiences is sometimes recommended. Summer sun is strong, so a hat is useful.
