About this spot
A representative facility of Arikan Town with a large windmill standing on a Kibi Highlands hilltop. The breeze blowing from the high altitude is pleasant, and the surrounding area features well-maintained gardens and scenic walking paths. The slowly turning windmill is a landscape representative of this area and inspired the festival's name. Even in midsummer, the highland breeze makes it relatively comfortable, making it a perfect place for the family to spend leisurely time.

2026年8月1日(土)21時から21時30分まで、吉備高原の丘陵地にある有漢総合グラウンドで開かれる花火大会です。約1,000発の花火が高原の澄んだ夜空に打ち上がり、周囲の山々にこだまする音とともに夏の夜を彩ります。街の灯りが少ない分、花火のひとつひとつがくっきりと美しく見えるのがこの会場ならではの魅力です。風ぐるまサマーフェスタの締めくくりにふさわしい、静かで印象的なフィナーレです。
Tips
荒天時は中止や日程変更の可能性があるため、当日は主催者の公式発表を確認しましょう。開始時刻が21時と遅いため、小さな子どもは体調に合わせて無理のない範囲で楽しみましょう。終了後は帰り道が暗いため、懐中電灯を持って足元に注意して移動しましょう。
Tips
About 10 minutes by car from Arikan Comprehensive Grounds. The hilltop has little shade, so prepare hats and sunscreen. The walking paths include slopes, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes required. The time around midday when the breeze is most pleasant is recommended.
