2026年8月1日(土)20時30分開催、吉浦町の百十周年を記念して行われる海上花火大会です。瀬戸内海の穏やかな海上から、夜空に花火が次々と打ち上がります。海に面した開放的な会場のため視界を遮るものが少なく、家族連れでも見やすいのが魅力。造船と海軍の町として歩んできた呉の歴史を1日巡ったあとに見上げる海上花火は、この日のクライマックスにふさわしい光景です。

Tips

荒天時は中止や延期の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は主催者の公式発表で確認を。終了直後は吉浦駅周辺が混雑するため、フィナーレ後は少し余韻を楽しんでから移動するのがおすすめ。足元が暗い箇所もあるのでスマホのライトで安全に。

Tips

About a 5-minute walk from JR Kure Station. During summer vacation periods, it can get crowded; early morning or early afternoon is recommended. The museum is spacious, so allow plenty of time for a thorough look. It's standard practice to visit both this museum and the adjacent Tetsuno Kujira-kan together.
